Student Worker Program

This college work study model aligns academic, work, and sport/recreation activities to provide students with holistic leadership experience that prepares them for the realities of working life after college and gives the students an opportunity to earn certifications in sports/club leadership that can transcend into work opportunities in their own communities to help lead sports and recreational programs toward positive youth leadership development. The student workers program is the backbone to the student activities program. It relies totally on the school’s student body to be hired to put on student activities in a friendly, fun and inviting atmosphere. The program hires students interested in leading some aspects of the sports club activities. From holding sports club leadership positions that tie in with the leadership program and offer leadership training along with being able to participate, coordinate and organize student activities. This could include having a student worker oversee the fitness and gym area and track attendance and help clubs set up their fundraisers’ events..
